As parents (Archers), we are called to be caretakers and custodians of the precious ones(arrows) that God has given us. If I am to be totally honest with myself, parenting is not walk in the park, let alone a Christian parent in these times. I don’t know about you. That said, we have the Holy Spirit who is an amazing help and guide if we will only work with him.

A custodian/caretaker is a person who has the responsibility of  keeping, looking after or overseeing something or someone. The person in this role is given certain  tools or resources with which he or she needs to do the job properly. These resources not only aid the custodian but they benefit the thing or person that is being looked after.

When you and I were blessed with children. We were given the resources needed to be parents as God and not the world has called us to be.

Some of these resources include divine wisdom, prayer, the right association, time and money among other things. These resources also determine the strength of your hand as an archer. If you must shoot your arrows in the direction of success as a parent you need strength in your arms.Hands

Psalm 127:4, which is an important scripture at arrowsNarchers says

Like arrows in the hand of a  mighty warrior, So are the children of one’s youth’.

Strength is an important attribute of a warrior. It takes strength to draw a bow, aim, shoot and hit the right target.

Be encouraged to take stock of the resources we have and be honest about the ones we do not have.

Do we have the money but seem to have no time?  Do we have the right kind association? Do we have time but lack wisdom?

Evaluating ourselves as parents is very key in order for us to do well in this area.

This is the reason that arrowsNarchers is here to serve you and walk with you on your parenting journey.

Many Blessings,

Joy

  1. I really want the best for my kids, for them to be who God has ordained them to be, but most times i just feel inadequate, lost, confused and at other times incompetent. I keep trusting and believing the Holy Spirit that I will get it right and I will not fail God in this regard.
